goodbye vivian dracula, hello bicycle?

sushis
from: ichibankan
price: $9.75
rating: &&&&/&&&&&
comments: this weekend marked the end of an era. Vivian Dracula has been scrapped. no more will she and I dart through traffic, listen to the rustle of the plastic bag window, or make the engine scream searching for the next gear. godspeed, vivian dracula, you were a great great car. click to see the last known photograph of her. even the city of vancouver mourns her passing. or so I figure. searching though the news, I could see no other reason the flag was at half mast.

and tommy had:

a delicious looking sandwich
comments: click tommy's sandwich to see why you should avoid broadway and cambie during the day. as I walked along broadway, I watch all those polluters and think what can I do about it? I can spend the $100 the BC government just gave me on gas. I can find another sweet old classic to rip up the roads in. but since I am now a part of the scrap-it program I need to decide which bike to get. a Ronin, or an infinity, or maybe the copenhagen?

and travis had:

sandwich and a delicious looking tomato salad.
comments: tomatoes. amazing, aren't they? I hear all of our tech-ops team loves tomatoes. if you click travis' lunch, you will see Mike's new tattoos. mike has nothing to do with travis' tomatoes. and my money's on the dragon to win.

down and down and hit the floor

philly cheesesteak
from: Emelle's
price: about $10
rating: &&&&/&&&&&
listening to: the clash
comments: I was thinking about Emelle's name, and it occurred to me that this was just a fancy french sounding way to say "ML". then I googled it and it turns out that was indeed the case. know what else is interesting about this post? not much. but I'm gonna say it anyway. the spell checker in this blogger thinks that "philly" is not a word, but "cheesesteak", "googled" and "gonna" are just fine. interessant.

and teo had:

the chicken
comments: while I was up on the roof taking pics of the new construction beginning nest door, I was spotted. click teo's lunch to see viearn with an apple and a wave.

and dana had:

comments: click dana's lunch to see #1 Kingsway. that pic is actually wiggly because I had just had a few beers. it's nothing to do with my usual gif process.

jerk chicken roti
from: Cameo
price: $7ish (actually, it was free cuz tommy said he owed me moneys.)
rating: &&&&/&&&&&
listening to: ween
comments: a rather sad day at work today, as a handful of coworkers were laid off. and it wasn't me. I'm not sure if it's just jealousy or sadness I feel. either way, good luck to you guys. click my jerk roti to see our building breathe. I don't like when a new sign goes up there, cuz those dudes leave their gear on top of the escape hatch. jerks.

I'll tell you something about it, I took it at 1/10000 sec shutter speed. that's what my new camera hack can do. so useful, huh? If you're wondering what daylight looks like at that speed, have a out the window. (I had to really crank up the shadows to see anything in that). fun.

shadows of the morning light, shadows of the evening sun

samwitch
from: Swiss Bakery
price: $6.99 with a snausage roll
rating: &&&.5/&&&&&
listening to jane's addiction
comments: so yesterday I learned a lesson about walking around with 2 cameras in my hands. make sure the cameras have the same settings! accidentally I had cranked the ISO on one of them. bah. I thought this ruined my chances of making some sweet wiggly gifs. turns out I was wrong. click my samwitch to see a gif made with unmatched ISOs. I know! it's awesome! maybe it was because my syncing was perfect.

and yvette had:

thai curry
comments: click to see the studebaker I often seeing whilst walking home. the shots are well matched this time... but the gif just isn't as good. hmm... just when I think I am a master of wiggly gifs, I realize I still have so much to learn. aren't you glad you get to witness such learnings?

double stacker meal
from: BK
price: $7.18
rating: &&&/&&&&&
listening to: weeeeen
comments: I kept the food simple today. but the double stacker seems a bit light compared to the baconator. next time... triple. click to see a murdered bird. kinda hard to look at, in more ways than one. my guess? colonel mustard. the kitchen knife. the grassy shoulder.

and noel had:

a crazy home made paninini
