walking down the road, with a pistol on your waist

A4 (I think)
from: HK Chinese Food
price: $5.50+tax
rating: &&&.3/&&&&
listening to: "The Harder They Come" soundtrack (this blog title song: The Slickers)
comments: this was not as good at the A9. maybe it's because it's not some fancy new combo that I never seen before. maybe it just wasn't as good. the main reason was that the shishkabob was way too overcooked and cold. oh well. next time maybe the shrimp kabobs? now, if you click on the pics, you will see that I'm on youtube now. well, I got a couple crappy quality videos there. this one is better than the following one, methinks.

and kylee had:

veggie sandwich on multigrain with avocado and mustard
from: Only U Café
price: $5.09
rating: Patrick Stewart would recommend this sandwich
comments: kylee says, "A super fantastical sandwich of magnanimous proportions. As soon as my tummy starts to rumble, I throw my hands in the air and yell “I gots ta git me one of those!” it’s the avocado. The sweet, sweet avocado. And some crazy herbs they put on it. Uh, stay away from the soup tho – not good. And their baked goods were moldy once, so maybe stay away from those too…"

SU...perrockin'

roast boeuf sandwich (and beer)
from: the delly (and Koerner's)
price: I totally forget
rating: &&&&&/&&&&&
listening to: Morcheeba (how much more can you take?!)
comments: world cup football has taken over the Pit. the seats are all gone by just after noon. so we pressed on. got some food from the Delly (better than Pit burgers, anyway) and we walked to Koerner's pub. which was actually the best move anyone could make at that hour. you see, Koerner's also shows the footy matches, but with only about 10 people there watching it. and they have sunny/shaded outdoor seating. it's beeyooteeful there. so, if anyone wants to watch world cup games in the future, I suggest walking that extra 10 minutes, you will enjoy yourself so much more.

and jeff jenna and jason had:

comments: three people. three meals from the delly. no comments. linked to every picture are things we saw en route to Koerner's. it may be far, but it was well worth it.

3 items: kung pau chicken, asparagus and prown, the fish
from: Yi Kou Xiang
price: $5
rating: &&&&/&&&&&
listening to: the pixies
comments: according to the sign at Yi Kou Xiang there is a "wonderful new chef". I have yet to see this chef, but the food has obviously changed a bit. still, mostly, the same recipes... but I found water chestnut in my kung pau. that was nice. better than peanuts. I don't like peanuts in my hot meals, generally. now click to see some ice cream and pie getting eaten en route to village.

comments: jenna says, "this is the first felafel i've ever had. it doesn't please me that much because it's cold and spicy. :P i thought it would be warm. but it made me feel full. plus, they put onions in it even thought i said i didn't want any." oh well. now, don't click the picture. don't kill children, don't run 'em over

3 items: ginger beef, spicy pork and the fish
from: Yi Kou Xiang (northern foods)
price: $5
rating: &&&/&&&&&
listening to: Home Movies season 4 bonus CD (brendon small)
comments: the girl as yi kou xiang told us that they have a new chef. like, she said it as we were walking by, not committed to eating there, yet. it was almost as if she thought the last chef was no good, so we should eat there now, cuz there's a new chef. greg had already told us that there was a new chef. so it was all the buzz. unfortunately I felt rather sick in the evening. not sure if it was this food or something else. now click the pic and guess what the mystery pic is!!! if you're the person who saw me take this pic, you're not allowed to guess.

from: The Delly
price: $5.50
rating: &&&/&&&&&
listening to: Neil Young - living with war.
comments: the panini. it seems like a good idea. and i'm sure it would be delicious... if I hadn't carried it with me to the book store, then back to work. by the time I got here, it was hella soggy. and still, it was tasty. but not as tasty as I'm sure it was fresh from the delly. my advice... don't get these to go.
