comments: today was as halloweeny as it's gonna be in the office. since the real day is on Sunday. there were a few costumes around the office, including the winning one. personally, I voted for gavin's mad scientist costume. the costume was pretty tame, but the accessories were amazing! he built a jacob's ladder the night before, and brought in a functioning microwave cannon!! click my lunch to see that in action.

comments: once again, I went through a day without taking any wiggly pics. so when I left the office, I quickly made some in the dark. the one linked from bill's lunch here is a classic fall shot. damn streetlight kept turning on and off, though. you can see it reflecting in the window on the right. oh well. btw, if you wanted more Fringe photos, I think they are done in the are. but this guy got tons of photos of it. in fact, I think he just goes around to movie sets and takes pics. his flickr is FULL of them.

comments: finally tried sea monstr sushi! good quality food. comments: on the weekend, I went to applefest at UBC with erin and richerd. click my lunch to see it. at the far right of that wiggly, erin and richerd are under that tent starting their failed apple eating contest. it failed because when we got there, there were already "apples sold out" signs up. yeah. an apple fest with no apples. well, there were some. they eat a total of 57 apple slices each. but they were eager for more. oh well, it gave me a chance to play with some infrared photos. it turns out that you really don't need to mod your camera to do this.

comments: we were very excited to find a brand new restaurant for lunch today. and it's only a block from the office! two doors down from HAVE cafe. I'd probably describe it as an upscale diner. it only opened yesterday. the menu only has breakfast items for now, but get in there and try it. it's good! also open on the weekends for brunch... I think she said they're open till about 5pm! now those are brunch hours I can get behind! click to see their beer taps.
