I'm not luncheon, you. the way I wanted to.

seafood pancake!
from: H-Mart food court
price: I got treated!
rating: &&&&&/&&&&&
listening to: kanye
comments: today, we ditched bill and had a meat-fest at H-Mart. and Helen was way too kind and treated us to it. man it was tasty. I miss h-mart lunches. so damn good. especially this seafood pancake. click to see eric taking photos of lunch. I'm not the only one who does this. actually, david was the only one at lunch who didn't do this.

and we also had:

kim chi fried rice
comments: yum, right? so yum. click to see eric jumping for joy after lunch.

and we also had:

noodles in black bean sauce and bulgogi
comments: so damn much delicious food! and so many wigglies of eric! that's the problem with not having bill at lunch. then it's just eric willing to do stupid things as wigglies.

and to round it all off, we had:

spicy chicken dish
comments: I had never had this dish before. but it was as delicious as it looks. click to see the sushi place in h-mart that I have never actually eaten from. I just don't go there often enough to deny my tastebuds the delicious korean food. maybe someday, I'll try the sushi there. maybe. kinda doubtful, though.

I'm not in lunch, so don't forget it

bibimbap
from: come food truck
price: $8?? I totally forget.
rating: &&&&/&&&&&
listening to: the guy from grandaddy covering 10cc
comments: a double attack from the food trucks today. coma food truck and naan wraps. so of course, I wanted both. eric teamed up with me on this endeavor and I think we got 5 items or something. it was crazy. way too much food. click to see the two competing trucks.

I also had some:

butter chicken
comments: personally, I thought the coma truck had better food. these chicken balls are a little pre-fabby. anyway, click to see the opposite view of the two trucks.

also consumed was:

some kinda chilli fries
comments: these fries were really good. I would eat again. and now click it, to see eric sticking his finger right through bill's head. maaaaaagic!

this one is called lunchers choice

bibimbap (and much more)
from: coma food truck
price: totally forget
rating: &&&&/&&&&&
listening to: buju banton
comments: another food truck day at the hootsuite office! this one was korean/mexican food, as they put it. more korean than anything else. really tasty though. the bibimbap was lacking a stone bowl, but made up for it by having really good toppings. the short of it, I recommend this truck if you see it around.

and bill had:

some veggie stuff
comments: they had 2 veg items, too. I think the quesadilla was the preferred one over these seaweed? rolls. click to see bill escaping eric's maniacal water attack.

and david had:

the burrito
comments: another great part about lunch was the weather. it allowed us to eat up on the roof. click to see the view.

and eric had:

chap che
comments: eric brought, and shared, this homemade korean noodle dish. was it all coincidence, or was it planned? we'll never know. click to see him trying to fly, or surfing an earthquake. not quite sure how to describe it.

be my luncher, my lady river

'korean tacos'
from: Roaming Dragon at the PNE
price: $8
rating: &&&&/&&&&&
listening to: angus and julia stone
comments: I went to the PNE today. good times. I joined my sister and her kids for this adventure. I think they liked it. A LOT. click to see what I think was the most fun of the rides we went on.

and stu had:

pizza
comments: click stu's pizza to see one of the Peking Acrobats that we watched. that stack of chairs is standing atop 4 bottles. crazy balancing. there was a lot of crazy balancing.

and emma had:

pizza too
comments: click emma's lunch to see a bit of the parade that wandered through the grounds. pretty silly stuff. the theme was 'paint the town'. that's why it's all colourful and looks like the 80s? here's another parade shot. man, I am out of practice with my two little cameras. I need to carry them more often, methinks.

a luncher that lunches that's one

seafood pancake
from: H-Mart

and eric ordered:

kimchi fried rice
comments: so we went to H-Mart. delicious h-mart. and ordered 3 dishes and split them. it was tasty. click eric's lunch to see a very big gif of him being propelled by a big spring.

and richerd ordered:

bulgogi
comments: click richerd's lunch to see the eric gif again. but this time, just two frames of him derpin' it up.

we'll be forever lunching jah

seafood pancake
from: H-mart
price: $10ish
rating: &&&&.5/&&&&&
listening to: bob marley
comments: holiday monday. that doesn't mean much to me anymore. but to erin, it meant her first two day weekend since she started her new job. huzzah! we ate a giant meal at H-Mart. H-Mart rules. such good food. and while we ate, we watched the police write a ticket. click to see that.

and erin had:

spicy cold noodles
comments: click erin's lunch to see a guy juggling at the powell street festival on sunday. this guy did an amzing trick where he caught 1 of the 4 balls on his foot, and flicked it up behind his head where it joined the other 3. unfortunately, my camera's 'burst' mode only lasts 1 second, but this fancy move was more like 3 seconds. so it just looks like normal juggling.

and we shared:

some dumplings
comments: click the dumplings for another pic from the powell street festival. cute stuffies from a kids book.

seafood pancake
from: h-mart
price: $10ish
rating: &&&&.5/&&&&&
listening to: the ramones
comments: i met erin, vivian and donald for lunch today at h-mart. h-mart rules. after, we went to beard papa's for some cream puffs. it's just around the corner from h-mart. click to see it.

and don had:

tuna don?
comments: good to see donald! he seemed to enjoy his lunch. click to see beard papa's new years creampuffs. they advertise that they are the best in the world. they are pretty good... but I hardly doubt they're the best. maybe the best cream puff from a cream puff chain...

and viv had:

tofu soup?
comments: click viv's lunch to see some canadian pride. go canada, eh!

and erin had:

bibimbap!
comments: after lunch, there was some errands to run in chinatown. whilst erin erranded, I took wigglies. like the linked one.

your heart is. what lunch is. you're saved.

seafood pancake
from: H-Mart (seymour and robson)
price: $10
rating: &&&&&/&&&&&
listening to: hothouse flowers
comments: a very special day today. today was the last day of the charger's insurance for the year. it now sleeps. in honour of this day, I took dave, tommy and phil s. downtown to meet andy and neil for lunch. and what a lunch it was. H-Mart is the bizzomb. click to see my sliding across the hood of the charger.

and dave, tommy and phil had:

korean foods
comments: I thought 5 guest lunches was just too much work. if you really want to know what these guys ate, I can tell you. but not now. now you need to click to see phil's awesome mustache. yeah. I said mustache. AND I said awesome. if you want more charger pictures, you can check out phil's flickr.

and andy had:

tonkatsu
comments: andy was the only one to order from the japanese kitchen in HMart. it looked good, too. click to see andy trying to steal the charger.

and neil had:

beef bul-go-gi
comments: the bulgogi was really the only thing simple and normal enough to appeal to neil's extreme taste in foods. now, time for a story. in the afternoon, at work, I took another 3 coworkers for a quick ride around the block. we ripped it up. and when we got back, michal pointed out that there was a grasshopper on the 76 ball (a ball, which killerX57 rightfully decorated the charger with a couple weeks before). so, of course, I took photos of said grasshopper. and after work, I drove home. not slowly, mind you. not slowly at all. and when I got home I looked at the 76 ball to find that the grasshopper was still there!! wow! coolest grasshopper ever. and he's got great taste in cars. now click neil's lunch to see him.

truth don't look that good on me

bbq beef special
from: Choon Ha Choo Dong Korean Restaurant (36 E. Broadway)
price: $7 ish
rating: &&&&/&&&&&
listening to: soundgarden
comments: today we stayed on the same east/west block as our office and my home. but we went to broadway. the food was really good, but the service was a bit lacking, as 2 busloads of tourists came in while we ate. maybe if they had another server, it wouldn't have taken as long as it did. click to see some posers leaning against a wall near the restaurant.

and andy had:

a stone bowl special. beef n mushroom?
comments: click to see a photo that may contain the restaurant. I'm not sure. that's form the roof of our office looking south. I'm not sure if the building near the middle is the restaurant or the back of ATIC.

and remick had:

bibimbap!
comments: click to see broadway traffic. I'm so glad I don't commute to work. so glad.

and tommy had:

same as andy, I think
comments: here's a non-wiggly pic of those posers and the wall. amazingly, this was a wall of a closed down billiards hall and there was a city-posted notice on the door stating that they had to get rid of the graffiti or the city would hire someone to, and the owners would have to pay. sometime this city pisses me off. they should be paying the owners for having such cool graffiti in their city! not adding insult to injury.. oh, you went out of business? well... hire some graffiti removers. bah!

comments: click the cake to see cement trucks lining up to build the new woodward's building. that's all. boring. I know.

***oops. I meant to add this picture for that 2nd link. hee hee!
