rating: &&&&.5/&&&&&
listening to: okkervil river
comments: man, this place is gooood. it's the same people who ran the naan wraps truck. and, though it's not cheap, it's really tasty.  it's on Broadway. across from congee noodle house. click to see this interior.

and bill had:

something veggie
comments: click for another interior shot. something mysterious happened with my camera... I know that I took photos of the cool lighting they have.  hundreds of bangles hang on the lights. it's like banglecity in there.  but I have no idea what happened to the photos. very odd.

I'm not in lunch, so don't forget it

bibimbap
from: come food truck
price: $8?? I totally forget.
rating: &&&&/&&&&&
listening to: the guy from grandaddy covering 10cc
comments: a double attack from the food trucks today. coma food truck and naan wraps. so of course, I wanted both. eric teamed up with me on this endeavor and I think we got 5 items or something. it was crazy. way too much food. click to see the two competing trucks.

I also had some:

butter chicken
comments: personally, I thought the coma truck had better food. these chicken balls are a little pre-fabby. anyway, click to see the opposite view of the two trucks.

also consumed was:

some kinda chilli fries
comments: these fries were really good. I would eat again. and now click it, to see eric sticking his finger right through bill's head. maaaaaagic!

it's all part of the process, we all lunch looking down

tandoori naan wrap (and extra naan, and a mango lassi)
from: the naan wraps lunch truck
price: $14?
rating: &&&&/&&&&&
listening to: morcheeba
comments: today was a special day at hoosuite. the first time we convinced one of our city's lunch truck to visit us. I think we were able to pull this off because our mother, brother, graaandmother company made this app for eat st.. I'm pretty sure the "st." means "street" in this case, and not "saint".

and richerd had:

butter chicken bowl?
comments: also today, richerd and gavin attempted the cinnamon challenge. do you know of this? we thought the challenge was to eat a whole teaspoon of cinnamon in under a minute. turns out that isn't that hard. they both succeeded. then richerd tried a tablespoon. that changed things. it took him closer to 2 minutes. click his lunch to see him struggling with that. or, as eric put it, "doing a john cena impression"

and eric had:

a naan wrap too
comments: most of the company had naan wraps. we sold them out, I think. even out of focus michael there had one. click eric's lunch to see a french car from the early 70s. they were building cars of the future back then!! it still looks futuristic to me 40 years later.

a lunch that you never gave

veggie dinner for 2
from: sitar
price: $20ish
rating: &&&&/&&&&&
listening to: the black crowes
comments: indian food for lunch. there's no cheap options at all, at this restaurant. so bill had to twist my arm (and put money in it) in order to get me to go. the food is delicious, though. throughout lunch, I left my camera in the window taking photos every 5 seconds. I though this would make for a cool time lapse vid. it's not bad, but not great. instead I cut it up. click the food to see people only walking to the right. or you can see them going to the left.

more food:

comments: again, the food was delicious. click this part of the meal to see the best part of the time lapse. if you are familiar with gastown, you may recognize this guy from his kneepad and/or his impromptu style of cleaning the streets.

and more food:

comments: we also had mango shake/lassi, but I won't show the photo. instead, you get one last wiggly. let's see what it is... hmmm... how about the crazy smoke-haze that's been hanging around town

from: sitar (in gastown)
price: about $25!
rating: &&&/&&&&&
listening to: bob dylan and the band
comments: we tried this indian place in gastown today. it was very expensive. and the menu is not geared towards variety. that's why we had the dinner for two combo. it offered some variety. despite the expensiveness, the food was really good. really good. click the pakoras above to see the nice view from the table.

I know something about lunch

the lunch special
from: aisha tandoori
price: $5.99
rating: &&&&.4/&&&&&
listening to: the exciters
comments: we tried to go to a few places today, but they were too busy. so we ended up at aisha tandoori at cambie and broadway. this used to be run by the people that ran curry express at the village. it's not anymore. but the food is good. most dishes were pretty expensive, so we all had the special. other than having to more tables, cuz the onions from the kitchen were stinging our eyes, it was an enjoyable lunch. click to see me being a statue.

here's how it looked:

closer upper.
comments: click to see cambie street.

and we also had:

kingfisher beer
comments: each bottle of beer was almost the same price as the meal. meh. click to see some of the nerds I was eating with.

and afterwards, some had:

artigiano coffees
comments: click the coffee to see who visited the office today! it was shiho's baby! I think I heard her say her name was Annette, but I'm not positive.
