back in halifax. off to america tomorrow.
double bacon cheeseburger
from: the sidewalk cafe, Alberton, PEI
price: $7.99
rating: &&&&.2/&&&&&
comments: so much meat. I loved it. it was delicious. although... the rating is not perfect, because I ordered poutine and did not get it. oh well. I think I had enough meat. so, I don't think erin has been featured enough lately in the blog. so here she is at Green Gables. and here she is swatting mosquitoes in front of Confederation Bridge
and r. had:
fish burger with fries and coleslaw
price: $5.99
rating: &&&.5/&&&&&
comments: the fish burger was ok. there were too many fries, and the coleslaw had been run through a blender. "it had the consistency of couscous" it was tasty enough, but we don't know what they did to it to make it so fine. not fine as in good, fine as in grains of sand. he also had a seamans ginger ale, bottled "at the source in charlottetown, pei". next time we're there we'll have to look for the ginger ale spring in charlottetown. and in the linked pic, you will see two of our trip mascots. melvin peterson and the giant sloth. they're good friends.
note: this is the end of the lunchatthevillage's "lunches with r." series. we hope you enjoyed it.
