ferry to PEI, bridge off PEI. crazy.
portabello mushroom soup and beef n cheese panini
from: the Maple Grille in Charlottetown, PEI
price: about $10 (note: PEI tax is 10%PST and 7%GST (but gas is overall cheaper)
rating: &&&&.5/&&&&&
comments: continuing with really good lunches, we went to this little restaurant in Charlottetown. Charlottetown is heralded as the birthplace of our nation because of a bunch of politicians meeting there and getting loaded together. this made us a big country. Charlottetown also sells tons of Anne of Green Gables paraphernalia. So, the lunch was good. real good. even better than the day before and the mussels were probably the best we had anywhere. in a saffron cream sauce. yummy. and before lunch, erin bought us ice cream at the first "Cows". est. in 1983. again, yummy.
and r. had:
haddock dinner special
from: The Maple Grille
price: $8.99+tax or so
rating: &&&&&/&&&&&
comments: ritchie liked this lunch. well cooked, fresh, yet the same wacky mashed potatoes as Cheticamp. this lunch is probably where our meals peaked on this trip. good stuff.
