grilled cheese w/ chicken
from: swiss bakery
price: $6
rating: &&&/&&&&&
listening to: the who
comments: intersting grilled cheese sandwich. it was kinda like there was chicken stew inside that bread. definitely needed heating. and after work, a team navarik event took a bunch of us bowling at Rev's. good times. click to see me about to nail a strike. hoo ha!

and beier had:

comments: beier was our star bowler. I think his 141 was the top score of the day. or maybe tommy beat him at the end of our session. I can't remember his top score, but I do know that he pulled off 3 strikes in the tenth frame of the last game. much better than his first game of 63 or so :P those 3 strikes were totally max rad!. oh yeah, and it was otis's day in the office.

I had a passion to experiment, but I was torn

whopper combo
from: burger king
price: free
rating: bah/&&&&&
listening to: the hip
comments: a while ago, I called and complained to burger king that my indy burger was missing a patty. this was remedied by them sending me tha coupon for a free whopper meal. yay. however, I was just as disappointed with this meal. the whopper and fries were cold. bah. I even asked for the burger with no onions thinking that they'd have to make a fresh one. but no. it wasn't. oh well, it was free. that part was good.

and remick had:

comments: so phil tells me he's going to ride his new ducati down my road, so I go out and wait for him, hoping to get a good pic or movie of him passing by. he took too long. I got distracted. by many things. click on remick's lunch to see one distractor. finally he rode by but I wasn't at the ready so much and got that bad photo. bah.

I wouldn't live there if you paid me to

3 items
from: T&T
price: $5.24
rating: &/&&&&&
listening to: talking heads
comments: ew. gross lunch. when will I learn not to get lunch from T&T. the rice was good. that was the best part. the 3 items I got on top of it were all bad. poor quality meats, over cooked and soggy beans, and overly oily sauces. bah. anyway, click the pic to see some pics from the very local car show I saw on the weekend.

and dave had;

a laser in his eye
comments: ok, it never hit his eye. it only got as close as you see in this pic. sorry it's outa focus, but I was trying out an old lens on my camera today. click to see an interesting wiggly gif made with said lens. zoomy effect is fun. know what else is fun? a 10 frame gif of my walking the early construction of le cirque de soleil.

"indy" meal
from: burger king
price: $8something
rating: &&&/&&&&&
listening to: Nirvana (fitting song for this post, huh?)
comments: overall, the indy meal was a big disappointment. afterall, it was whopper wednesday, and it wasn't any cheaper. wherewithall, and I got ripped off.. only 1 patty. so I called and complained, but they said I had no proof. they took my address. I'll see if I get rewarded for complaining. click to see a crazy awesome photo of my flying over the new skytrain bridge. and if that ain't enough for ya, have a look at air jordan here!

true story: the burger below came from McDonald's.

angus burger
from: McDonalds. yeah, McDonalds!!
price: $6 for the burger
rating: &&&&.4/&&&&&
comments: holy crapsicle! the photographed burger above was indeed made at McDonald's. and it even tasted as good as it looks there. but you can't really tell from that wiggly gif. click on it to see it bigger. my only complaint is that the bun is a bit small. I think that's their way of showing off real food stuffs inside it. yeah, that's CHEDDAR! but overall, McD's has created a really good burger. f'reals.

and loong had:

some goofy little burgers, when he coulda had the Angus burger.
comments: click this pic to see me stalking Teo at the bus stop a block away. bwa ha ha.

palace of the brine!

sushi et al
from: the clubhouse
price: nuthin.
rating: &&&&/&&&&&
listening to: the pixies

without lunch, where would you be now?

whopper wednesday
at: burger king
price: $6ish for two + shake
rating: &&&/&&&&&
listening to: doobie brothers (gwilli version lyrics)
comments: after work today, I went and test drove a car that I think I'll probably buy. click to see it. 1400 bucks. can't argue with that, really. and vivian dracula's time has pretty much come. this one has a sunroof. ooooooh.

and tommy had:

some chicken burgers.
comments: tommy had a coupon. that's the only reason he can be forgiven for dissing whopper wednesday. click tommy's lunch to see the car I saw a couple blocks away from the car I was test driving. what you think, should I get this one instead? it's only 1/2 a mill US. but it can do 0-60 in 3.2. I think the stanza would do it in more like 13.2. I suppose I could live with extra 10 seconds on my day, considering the $504,450.00 that I'd be saving (based on current exchange rate). hmmm.. then there'd be the $25,000 in GST, as opposed to the $70 I'll be paying. and I imagine the stanza would be a bit cheaper to insure. overall, I guess my mind's already made up.

kung fu noodles!
from: my cupboard
rating: meh
comments: me sick today. some viscous cold got a hold of me on saturday and kicked my ass. fun. the linked pic is one of the views from jenna's apartment. where I watched the girls play guitar hero as my sickness increased at lightning speed. one problem with that wiggly gif... the outsides of the windows were kinda dirty. but gravity always wins

a baconator and a frosty float
from: wendy's
price: about $10 with fries
rating: &&&/&&&&&
listening to: radiohead
comments: oh man. this baconator almost kilt me. freals. to tell the truth, I was unable to finish it. my excuse for that was that I went for lunch too early. noon is just not lunch time in my world. specially when I had double my usual breakfast an hour before. ok enough excuses, I was defeated by the baconator. fact. now click to see cambie street.

and dave had:

a baconator, as well.
comments: looks terribly appetizing there, doesn't it? click to see a very odd thing I found in the bushes on the way home from work. it's one thing to find that odd object in the city, but much much much odder to find it atop a pamphlet explaining itself. zug.

price: about $8 each
rating: &&&&/&&&&&
listening to: weezer
comments: andy, tommy and I went to congee noodle house. it was good. end.

we also had:

chinese donuts in our congee
comments: you know that old saying 'let sleeping dogs lay'? well, when the sleeping dog has their favourite toy in their mouth, I reckon it's better to take photos than let them lay. click to see just that. I thought the still image worked a little better than the wiggly version.
